WHITE WATER CANOE

DATE:    08:00 16 January 2010 to 15:30 17 January 2010

VENUE:    Vaal River outside Deneysville
        Accommodation at Deneysville Aquatics Club.

COST:    R200=00 P/P

ELEGIBILITY

1.    Any Scouter, Lay member or Scout who is a Flat Water Canoe Charge Holder
2.    Participants must be competent river paddlers
3.    Participants must have use of a single seat river kayak (Isere or similar), paddle, life jacket and helmet.
4.    All accommodation, catering and handouts are provided for in the cost of the course, however participants are required to bring along their own eating utensils, bedding, boating gear and plenty of dry warm clothing as they will be getting wet
5.    Suitable water boots or other tie on footwear is essential and must be worn during all water activities.
6.    Applications to reach Area Headquarters not later than the closing date. Participants are to ensure that the correct Course application form is properly completed. Course fees and applications can be faxed through to Headquarters along with deposit slips but original forms MUST be handed in on arrival at the course
